Notre famille ne peut même pas commencer à exprimer la gratitude que nous ressentons pour le MPFBC. En 2023, notre fils, qui vient d’avoir 7 ans, a été soutenu par eux depuis l’âge de 3 ans. Nous avons reçu des appareils comme un afficheur braille, une machine à écrire Mountbatten Braille, un iPad, une Apple Watch, des leçons d’équitation thérapeutique et des cours de natation privés, et ils nous ont récemment envoyés, mon mari et moi, à une conférence sur l’alphabétisation en braille en Floride. Nous n’aurions pas pu nous permettre tout cela sans leur soutien. Nous avons beaucoup appris lors de la conférence pour aider à soutenir notre fils à l’école, dans sa mobilité et dans la vie. Nous sommes éternellement reconnaissants pour cette incroyable association caritative. Notre fils bénéficie grandement des appareils et des activités qu’ils nous ont donnés, lui offrant ainsi l’opportunité de devenir indépendant et des outils pour adapter son apprentissage.

En août 2020, le MPFBC a fourni des fonds à Sadie pour l’achat de plusieurs équipements, y compris un iMac, un iPad Pro et les logiciels appropriés, afin de l’aider dans ses activités. Ce fut un plaisir pour le conseil d’administration du MPFBC de recevoir cette carte de remerciement de Sadie et nous sommes très heureux de savoir qu’elle a bénéficié et continuera de bénéficier grandement de cet équipement.
Merci beaucoup pour le grand iPad et l’iMac. Je les utilise beaucoup tous les deux. J’ai utilisé l’iMac pour mes devoirs, et j’ai utilisé le grand iPad pour m’aider à pratiquer le piano. Je les utilise tous les jours. Alors merci énormément.

Dear Melanie,
I wanted to write this letter to let you know how much I appreciate all the help I’ve gotten from the Military Police Fund for Blind Children. I received my equipment a couple months back and it has really made a difference for me at home, and at work. Living with low vision can be challenging and for the longest time, I didn’t know there were resources and different devices that could be of so much help to me. I am so thankful to the Military Police Fund because without your help, I would have never been able to get these things. The work you do is truly amazing and life changing for so many.
I appreciate that you’ve took the time to allow me to participate in going to Space Camp and the attend the events. I learned a lot from the trip. Things like going through security in the airport and the procedures; How to survive in a helicopter crash; and being aware of the surroundings around you when you are lost in the forest. I enjoyed making new friends, meeting new people, and connecting with people. I made some new friends on that trip. I enjoyed all of the activities that I was in. I hope to participate on another event like this. I would like to say again, thank you.
